No. Wellbutrin is for depression and may in fact be part of the problem, as it can cause erectile dysfunction. If he is being treated for depression, there are other antidepressants that work quite a lot better and do not have this side effect. Consult your physician with these concerns.

Welbutrin is an antidepressant. Most antidepressants cause libido problems for both men and women. Libido problems in men generally show up as erectile dysfunction and/or impotence, there is a difference. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to get and maintain a normal penile erection. Impotent men can sometimes get an erection, but they cannot ejaculate semen. It’s a subtle but specific difference. Viagra is prescribed for erectile dysfunction.
The “morning wood” statement is something different entirely. Many mature men do not wake up with erections every day like a teenager. These are usually not sexual, by the way. It usually happens because the man needs to urinate.

The doctor may not be prescribing viagra for reasons relating to your husband’s medical condition, or he may want to try anti depressant first.
In any event I also recommend penis exercises which will help your husband regain his vitality and become more virile.
May he always be healthy!
